Advocate for the Creative Child

At the heart of Dr. Stacy Jagger’s mission is the belief that every child deserves access to connection, creativity, and community. That’s why she founded Advocate for the Creative Child, a nonprofit dedicated to building screen-free playhouses that serve as gathering spaces for children and families.

These imaginative hubs are designed to spark creativity, foster belonging, and offer families an alternative to digital entertainment—a place where children can be fully themselves, and parents can rediscover the joy of playful connection.

Our Vision
A world where every child grows up feeling safe, seen, and connected—through the power of play, imagination, and community.

Our Mission
To nurture children and families into their natural state of creativity and wonder by:
- Creating screen-free community spaces for children and families.
- Equipping parents with tools for connection beyond screens.
- Building partnerships with schools, organizations, and churches.

Our Work in Action
- Building creative playhouses in communities where families need safe, imaginative spaces.
- Hosting screen-free connection events for parents and children.

- Partnering with schools and organizations to bring Dr. Stacy Jagger's Mountain Method into local communities.

- Retreats and activities at The Little House at Sunnybrook Farm

“As a native Nashvillian, I survived a difficult childhood by living in my imagination. That creativity crossed over in my adult life when I needed it. It is the mission of my life to help heal the disconnection that all forms of trauma create and help children and families heal through creativity and wonder.”
